I held out for as long as I could - but when budgets no longer included tape costs (which now is $$$ per 15 minute reel of tape) and the drying up of technical resources to maintain and repair the multitrack, I had to go to Protools....
When I am in a commercial studio with a multitrack, I still love to record through the tape machine into Protools... 8*)
