MT reader Daniel Pemberton (of TV theme fame) has a great new album out, with a geek-tastic cover illustration by James Joyce. James' site has a couple of nice free desktop wallpapers involving reel-to-reels, vintage synths, spectrum analysers and such. He should collaborate with cardboard synth man Dan McPharlin, I think.

reel to reel sitting on the bass cabinet? hmmm, maybe mistakes really are the portals of discovery... "...the artist, like the god of the creation, remains within or behind or beyond or above his handiwork, invisible, refined out of existence, indifferent, paring his fingernails."
it's just a stylised drawing of some synths and that - i don't think it's meant to be an accurate reflection of the gear that mr pemberton actually uses.
the cover of my tvpopmuzik album actually is all the gear i use, including my fez. this is some other stuff james has drawn. woo hoo! he is a very talented man..
