Jew's Harp day Pt 2: The Gun Harp

This is a Gun Harp, owned by Californian harp enthusiast Clayton Bailey: "A special fitting attaches a jews harp onto a brass bell and a walnut stock to amplify and direct the sound with great precision." It's used to imitate the mating call of the female Hodag (a mythical creature from Wisconsin). Clayton will also sell you a really nice-looking regular homemade harp for $35. Find out how to play it here at the Jews Harp Guild.

Ha, that's great.

I've not looked at Clayton Bailey's site for years, thanks for reminding me to check for new stuff! :) Lots of entertaining sculptures and stuff on there.
