This is a Gun Harp, owned by Californian harp enthusiast Clayton Bailey: "A special fitting attaches a jews harp onto a brass bell and a walnut stock to amplify and direct the sound with great precision." It's used to imitate the mating call of the female Hodag (a mythical creature from Wisconsin). Clayton will also sell you a really nice-looking regular homemade harp for $35.
