A whole year of Music Thing (as of last week)

Slightly tragically, I've managed to forget my own first birthday. The first ever MT post was on August 24th 2004. Since then, there have been 814 posts, 1.6 million page views and 2465 comments. Thanks to Mikey and Tommy all the other inspiring people who've sent ideas, and apologies for those I never got round to posting. Sorry it's been quiet over the last few weeks - I've been very distracted by work, a new baby, builders all over my house (oh, and that Evolver 3.0 Upgrade). Normal service will hopefully be resumed soon. Thanks also to all the other music-gear bloggers. I started MT because there was nothing I wanted to read, and now there's plenty.

Happy Belated Birthday!
Keep up the good work Tom, You've kept me and the other audio boys here at Blitz Games entertained during many a long day.
Cheers!
Chris

Is it only a year? checking MT first thing every morning seems as much part of my working day as a nice latte from Café Nerd…or, I dunno, work or something.

It's been a joy to have been a small part of the sketch. Long may it continue!

Congrats, Tom! I check the Thing every day--you've made the past year of having a shitty president sort of bearable!

Many happy returns!

MT is my first read of the day without doubt, hope you havve the urge to continue for years to come.

just echoing the above thoughts - Happy Birthday and keep up the great work.
i too spend my first morning coffee reading Music Thing. i wouldn't want it any other way :-)

Since it's inception MusicThing has been my favo(u)rite geek blog and I visit a little too often probably. Thanks for everything Tom, including putting up with my incessant posting.

Do you see yourself keeping this site going for another year or more? I mean, wow you have a new baby and an Evolver 3 upgrade. Hope you keep it up.

I love checking MT for the latest audio-fetish item or musical weirdness :)

Musicthing opened my eyes to so many cool things and inspired me to write as well. Congrats on everything Tom.

Hey Tom,
When there are a billion websites and there are a few I visit several times a week consistently for a year I think that says something.

Hey Tom, sorry it's late but Happy B'day to ya. Well done for remaining on the top of the best websites ever :-) Take it easy and keep up the great work.

This site definately makes my desk job a lot more interesting. I was so glad to see there are others out there so much like me, and that's what a good blog is all about to its loyals. Congratulations on the site, the birthday, and your newest arrival. If this is your first child, then WELCOME TO FATHERHOOD. It's hard sometimes, but undeniably the best thing that's ever happened to you. Thanks for all the posts, it's been great. Here's to many more, just wish you could have one on me!

Don't stop

definately the best blog ive ever seen - keep up the awesome work, Tom and co.

one of the very few sights that has a finger on the actual beating pulse of the stranger aspects of the music/synth world

Congratulations, the site is excellent and a daily visit for me like many other people!
